FAQ

What should I wear?

Comfortably fitting clothing (not too loose or tight) allowing you to move freely. No socks or shoes are worn during class.

When should I arrive?

If you are new, 10 minutes before your first class to complete brief registration paperwork. If you aren’t new, show up a few minutes early to get ready and settle into the class atmosphere.

Should I eat before class?

A mostly empty stomach is best, but if necessary only a light meal is preferable.

What should I bring?

Bring a mat if you have one, but mats are available if needed. You may want to bring a small towel or blanket. A bottle of water for after class is suggested to re-hydrate.

How long is the average class?

Each class lasts approximately 1 hour and 15-20 minutes.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Cash, Check, all major credit cards.

What is the minimum age for adult classes?

The minimum age for adult classes is 16 years of age.

Can I come to class if I am pregnant?

Yes, after your first trimester is over with a note from your healthcare provider that you are clear to practice yoga. Yoga can be very beneficial during pregnancy for your body and mind. We recommend the Gentle Yoga class to start.  Be sure to inform your teacher upon arrival.

Can I practice yoga if I have health issues or injuries?

All of our yoga classes take a gentler-easy approach and mindset to yoga postures.  We emphasize and encourage the necessity for each student to discover and honor their own individual physical level in strength and flexibility with the guidance of the teacher.  We recommend starting with our Gentle Yoga class if you have any serious injuries or health concerns as this class offers specific modifications on basic yoga postures.

What is an Ashram?

An Ashram is a place of peace away from all of the distractions of modern life, a sanctuary for your being.  It is a place for support, learning, healing and community as we all navigate through our daily lives.
