In this 4 week course, we will explore 4-6 postures per session. In our exploration of each posture, we will learn how our personal anatomy can effect how we hold our bodies in a posture and how we can let go on a deeper physical and mental level, cultivating steadiness and ease.
By letting go or releasing our personal tendencies to hold on, we find a deeper comfort and freedom in each posture. Whether these tendencies are stored in the body or the mind, or if they relate to our perceived physical limitations, prior injuries, or mental aversions, we can release them through our practice. We will explore the many physical and mental benefits of each posture and learn modifications to accommodate our limitations and release these stored tendencies.
